Vinyl Flooring

If you have kids, pets and a floor that needs to take it all, luxury vinyl plank is the easy answer. It is soft and quiet underfoot, completely waterproof, and forgiving in a way that harder floors are not. The timber looks have come a long way too. Most people cannot pick it until they are standing on it. It is about as relaxed as a floor gets to live with, right through the house.

Why people love vinyl

A few reasons luxury vinyl is such a favourite in Adelaide homes:

• Completely waterproof. Spills, pets and wet feet are no drama.
• Soft and warm underfoot. Quieter than tile or hybrid, and kinder on tired feet.
• Tough wear layer. It shrugs off scratches, scuffs and busy households.
• Easy to live with. Simple to clean and happy right through the house.

Where vinyl earns its keep

Because it is 100% waterproof and shrugs off spills, scratches and the daily chaos, vinyl plank is right at home in kitchens, laundries, living areas and anywhere life gets a bit messy. It is warmer and a good deal quieter than tile, too, which makes it a nicer thing to walk on first thing in the morning. Have a browse through our vinyl planks to see the looks on offer.

Vinyl or hybrid?

People ask us this all the time. Both are fully waterproof. The difference is feel. Hybrid is rigid with a firmer, more timber-like step, while vinyl is softer and quieter underfoot. Neither one is better, it just depends what you are after. Our Hard Flooring Buying Guide sets the two side by side.

Keeping it easy

Vinyl is one of the simplest floors to look after. A regular sweep or vacuum and a barely-damp mop keeps it looking new. Felt pads under heavy furniture and no steam mop is about all it asks. There is more in our guide to caring for your floors.
